Florida Hospital is an acute-care, not-for-profit healthcare organization, with seven locations in the tri-county area. We are part of a larger, comprehensive network of 17 hospitals in the Florida Adventist Health System and we are the largest provider for Medicare patients in the nation. We offer a wide range of health services for the entire family, including many nationally and internationally recognized programs. We treat more than one million patient visits each year and we do so with the same commitment and integrity that our foundation was built upon.

For more than 100 years, Florida Hospital has been committed to the people of Central Florida and to the healing ministry of Christ. Our success has been achieved through a multidisciplinary approach: providing medicine by giving each patient the tools to take charge of their health through prevention, wellness and education.

Our Journey

In 1908 when a small group of believers arrived in Central Florida, they had already been benefactors of a miraculous gift: the healing power of Christ. They had experienced, first hand, its power to transform the soul – mind, body and spirit – and were filled with the desire to share it.

It wouldn’t take long before this mission-minded group responded to that call by reaching out to an entire community in the most unique and caring way: by building their very own community hospital. Soon, that compassion they had first experienced extended far beyond the doors of their small congregation and into the lives of hundreds, in a community they cared for deeply.

What began as a journey toward spiritual and physical wholeness for a grateful few, is today a promise of healing – mind, body and spirit – to millions in Central Florida through the renown Florida Hospital Healthcare System.
