The opening of the new Christine E. Lynn Heart Institute at Boca Raton Community Hospital in September 2006 represented the culmination of years of leadership in education and screening and now allows us to offer the most up-to-date, comprehensive cardiovascular care, right here in Boca Raton. With two cardiovascular surgeons and over 50 cardiologists on staff, the Lynn Heart Institute provides high quality, comprehensive cardiac care. To date, the Institute has performed over 270 open heart procedures, over 2,000 cardiac catheterizations and over 700 angioplasties. The Lynn Heart Institute is comprised of a six bed cardiovascular intensive care unit, a 12 bed cardiac step down unit, a new cardiac catheterization lab and a nine bed catheterization recovery area.
